HARDINSBURG, Ky. — Tony Ray Hall, 82, of Hardinsburg, passed away Aug. 10, 2024, at Norton Hospital. He was born in Fordsville, Kentucky, on Feb. 19, 1942, the son of the late Bonnie Mae Smith and Joseph Ray Hall.

Tony was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and retired from the Laborers Union. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Tony enjoyed fishing and cooking for his family, playing Rook, and special times with his grandchildren and their families.

He was a kind, soft-spoken, hardworking man and a Marine through and through.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, John Sebastian; grandchildren, Collin and Alan Simmons; son-in-law, Carroll Simmons; and sisters, Carolyn Hall and Flora Ann Wilson.

Tony is survived by Fay, his wife of almost 60 years; daughter, Emily Colleen Simmons, of Cecilia, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Tiffany Grace (Brian), of Cecilia; Collier Simmons (Rachel), of Hardinsburg, Kentucky, Joel Sebastian (Krystal), of Garfield, Kentucky, Ryan Sebastian (Esther), of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and Kevin Sebastian, of McQuady, Kentucky; 10 great-grandchildren, Dillon, Wesley, Ben David and Nathaniel Sebastian, Riley, Tyler, Carter and Brady Grace, Joanna Perry and Scarlet Simmons; eight brothers and sisters, Jovonne Smith (Tom), of Owensboro, Kentucky, Madonna Lake, of McDaniels, Kentucky, Charlotte Haynes, of Whiting, Indiana, Brenda Crafton (Jim), of Auburn, Indiana, Janice Wilson and Esther Hall, of Fordsville, Kentucky, Michael Hall (Diana), of Avon Park, Florida, and Napoleon Hall (Beverly), of Horse Branch, Kentucky; and many nieces and nephews that he loved.

Funeral services will be held at Macedonia Baptist Church on Wednesday, Aug. 14, at 2 p.m. Burial with military honors will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. All times are central.
