HARTFORD, Ky. — Michael Cockrell, 55, of Hartford, formerly of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, Aug. 1, 2024, in Fordsville, Kentucky. Mr. Cockrell was born Nov. 24, 1968, to the late James Ray Cockrell Sr. and the late Pauline Allen Renfrow.
He was a 1988 graduate of Butler County High School. He was a jack-of-all-trades and loved working on anything with an engine. He enjoyed fishing and riding mopeds.
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, James Ray Cockrell Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Gracie Goodman Cockrell; brother, George Allen Cravens (Mary Ruth); three sisters, Lucy Carden (David), Brenda Rice (Carl), and Tami Phelps (Chris); and several nieces and nephews.
The family has chosen cremation and a service will be held at a later time.
