BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Teddy Dale Chinn, 82, of Beaver Dam, went to his heavenly home on Thursday, July 25, 2024, under the care of Hospice of Ohio County. He was born March 5, 1942, in Ohio County, Kentucky, to the late John E. Chinn and Ida Belle Hocker Chinn.
Mr. Chinn retired from the maintenance department at Perdue as well as working as an over-the-road truck driver and in the coal mines throughout the years. He also enjoyed his time singing with the Green River Quartet, quail hunting, as well as fishing.
Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by six siblings, Archie Ray Chinn, John Harvey Chinn, Forrest C. Chinn, Anna Francis Kessinger, Donald Morton Chinn, and Adrian J. Chinn.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 61 years, Linda A. Chinn, of Beaver Dam; daughter, Angela (Mark) Alvey, of Henderson, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Todd Garner, Mindy Michele Jarboe, Shelby Diane Dockery, Kristopher Dale Alvey, Kyle Joseph Alvey, and Kendra Marie Alvey, and several great-grandchildren.
The family requests expression of sympathy take the form of donations to, Hospice of Ohio County, 1211 Main Street, Hartford, KY 42347. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 28, at William L. Danks Funeral Home with Rev. Alton Crowe officiating. Burial will follow in Slaty Creek Cemetery. Friends may visit with Mr. Chinn’s family from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. until the time of the service Sunday at the funeral home.
