**UPDATE** HARTFORD, Ky. (7/19/24) — The Kentucky Division of Water and the Ohio County Water District have lifted the precautionary Boil Water Advisory for our customers along KY 136 west of Heflin Road. Tests confirm the water quality is safe for customers to drink and use for all other purposes.
HARTFORD, Ky. — The Ohio County Water District issued a Boil Water Advisory for around 70 customers along KY 136 in the Heflin Road area. The Boil Water Advisory has now been lifted.
According to Eric Hickman, general manager of the OCWD, last night during the storms, OCWD had a 4-inch water main blowout on KY 136 which caused a decrease in pressure for some customers in the area. OCWD distribution crews made an emergency repair on the 4-inch water main near Heflin Road.
A Boil Water Advisory was issued out of precaution for around 70 customers in the following areas:
All customers along KY 136 west of Heflin Road, Wilderness Road, Johnson Lane, Locks Road and Raymond Curry Road.
