NORTH PALM BEACH, Fla. — Alma Bernice House, 80, formerly of Olaton, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday morning, June 5, 2024, under the loving care of Trustbridge Hospice Palm Beach. She was born April 10, 1944, in Irvine, Kentucky, and was the second of two children to David Price Rawlins and Alma Banks Rawlins.

Bernice went to Irvine High School and met the love of her life, Jackie House. They raised a family of three children in Olaton.

Bernice and her family moved to Florida after the birth of their first grandchild and have lived in North Palm Beach for 25 years. During this time, she worked as an assistant teacher at local elementary schools with special needs children. She loved her grandchildren, never missing an opportunity to celebrate a birthday or travel across the country to be with them. She loved fashion and never left the house when she wasn’t looking her very best.

Bernice is preceded in death by her husband, Jackie House.

She is survived by their daughter, Teresa O’Keefe (Rick), of North Palm Beach; son, David House (Kim), of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; daughter, Cindy Vincent (Bill), of Owensboro, Kentucky; and grandchildren, Riley, Carson, Faith, and Grace. She is also survived by her brother, Price, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Bevil Brothers Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky, on July 6, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. with the memorial service following and Chad Patterson presiding. A burial will follow in Rosine Cemetery in Rosine, Kentucky.
