LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Wilma Christine (Slack) McKee, 84, of Louisville, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2024, at home with her family by her side. She was born Sept. 18, 1939, in Cool Springs, Kentucky, to the late Leonard Slack and Beatrice Williams Slack.
Mrs. McKee retired from National Linen Service after 50 years of service and was a member of Rockford Lane Baptist Church in Louisville.
Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Connie E. Polston, and niece, Penny Sue Polston.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, husband, William H. McKee, of Vine Grove, Kentucky; sons, Steven (Penny Teresa) Polston, of Louisville, and Randall (Tracy) Burgess, of Richmond, Kentucky; grandchildren, Randall (Cristy) Burgess Jr., Jonathan Polston, and Aaron (Nikki) Beams; great-grandchildren, Phoenix, Shelby, Riley, Kennedi, and Harper; nieces, Rhonda (William) Brown, Becky (Norman) Brown and Kim (Doug) Schmidt; and 21 great-nieces and -nephews.
Funeral services will be held at noon, Tuesday, June 4, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with her cousin Bro. Bob Hunt officiating. A burial will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Friends may visit with Mrs. McKee’s family from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
