HORSE BRANCH, Ky. — Shirley Darlene Filback, 87, of Horse Branch, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2024, with her daughter by her side. She was born Sept. 17, 1936, in Ohio County, Kentucky, to the late Marvin Hines and Gurtrude Dugan Hines.
Darlene retired from Ohio County High School.
Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by three sons, Harold David Filback, Duane Filback, and Mitchell Filback; two brothers, Kenneth Hines, and Carl Hines; and sister, Rita Nabours.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, one daughter, Terry Taylor, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Robert (Mercedes) Bennett and Seth Taylor; two great-grandchildren, Elanor, and Theadore Bennett; brother, Billy (Alice) Hines, of Horse Branch; two sisters, Linda (Bobby) Wydick, of Fishers, Indiana; sister, Imogene (Sam) Johnson, of Centertown, Kentucky; and a special nephew, Stevie Hines.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, May 30, at Rosine Cemetery in Rosine, Kentucky, with Rev. Steven Wright officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. Thursday at the cemetery.
