PLEASANT RIDGE, Ky. — Steven Dewayne “Beaver” Lamb Sr., 64, of Pleasant Ridge, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2024, with his family and friends at his side. He was born May 16, 1959, in Owensboro, Kentucky, to the late Jerry Lamb and Helen Dennison.
Steve retired from Ernie Davis and Sons Mechanical and had been a welder for 40+ years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, spending time with his wife and family, watching his grandchildren grow up, sports, and having company at his house.
Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Virgil Dennison; brother, Garry Lamb; and sister, Shelly Lewis.
Steve leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 46 years, Joyce Lamb, of Pleasant Ridge; four children, son, Dewayne Lamb, of Pleasant Ridge, and his children Halle, Kasin, and Griffin; son, Steven (April) Lamb Jr., of Philpot, Kentucky, and their children, Breanne (Caden), Dawson, Will, and Grace; daughter, Melanie (Jake) Rininger, of Hartford, Kentucky, and their children, Jarrett and Madi; daughter, Leah (Dakota) Gibson, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, and their children, Joslyn and Jaxton; two sisters, Rita Wilson, of Owensboro, Kentucky, and Judy (Charlie) Lewis, of Friendly Village, Kentucky; brother-in-law, Bud Lewis, of Pleasant Ridge; and several nieces, nephews, and loved ones.
Funeral services will be 12 noon Monday, May 20, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory officiated by Brother Troy Wilkes. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. Sunday and from 10 a.m. until time of the service Monday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
