HARTFORD, Ky. — Dennis A. Uthe, 76, of Hartford, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 27, 2024, at The Heartford House in Owensboro, Kentucky, surrounded by his family. Dennis was born in Iowa Falls, Iowa, to the late Arthur and Helen Thielen Uthe.
Dennis served in the U.S. Army from 1967-1972 and was an expert marksman, He was a superintendent of carpenters for Insul Acoustics and after moving to Ohio County, Kentucky, built his own home.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Vivian Neal Uthe; a son, Shawn Uthe (Jena Deskin), of Hartford; two daughters, Kimberly (Burt) Brink, of Arcadia, California, and Shannon (Rudy) Macias, of Simi Valley, California; a brother, Carrol Uthe, of Canyon Country, California; seven grandchildren, Travis Shelton, Ty Shelton, Todd Shelton, Drake (Hanna) Uthe, Curtis Macias, Kiley Macias, and Allen Uthe; one great-grandchild, Dawson Dennis Uthe.
The Family will have a celebration of life at a later date. Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam is in charge of arrangements.
