BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Derrick Jamaal Williams, 39, of Beaver Dam, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 18, 2024, at Ohio County Healthcare. He was born July 13, 1984, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, to Garnett and Sherry Russ Williams.
Derrick was a 2002 graduate of Butler County High School and he worked as a CNA at Signature Healthcare of Hartford, Kentucky. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his boys. Derrick loved hunting, fishing, sports, and the Dallas Cowboys.
He was dedicated to his job and adored his residents at the nursing home.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Betty and Edward Russ, James F. “Jake” Williams, and William Montgomery; his mother-in-law, Diane Hill; one aunt, Vonda Russ; and one uncle, Everett Russ.
He leaves behind to cherish many memories, his wife, Sarah Williams, of Beaver Dam; two children, Chase Tichenor and Ryder Williams, both of Beaver Dam; his parents, Garnett and Sherry Russ Williams, of Morgantown, Kentucky; his twin sister, Elisha Williams, of Beaver Dam; grandmother, Thelma Montgomery, of Beaver Dam; his father-in-law, Mike (Shelly) Tichenor, of Beaver Dam; two brothers-in-law, Chad (Dottie) Tichenor, of McHenry, Kentucky, and Kyle Martin, of Beaver Dam; and one sister-in-law, Maci Tichenor, of Owensboro, Kentucky; two uncles, Eddie Russ and Alan Boyd; one aunt, Shari Montgomery; special cousins, Jared Rife and Cody Russ; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Cody Russ officiating. Friends may visit with Derrick’s family from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
