ROCKPORT, Ky. — Judy Elizabeth Asbury Black, 66, of Rockport, passed away Monday, Jan. 22, 2024, at Ohio County Healthcare. She was born on July 31, 1957, in Harlan County, Kentucky, to the late Clyde and Marie Davenport Asbury.
Judy was a member of Abundant Life Church in Beaver Dam, Kentucky, and she was retired from Beaver Dam Nursing and Rehab where she worked as a certified medication technician.
Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Ronnie Asbury.
She leaves behind to cherish many memories, her husband of 34 years, David Black, of Rockport; one son, Timothy Wayne (Kristy) Ford, of Mt. Pleasant, Kentucky; two brothers, Jimmy (Callie) Asbury, of Martwick, Kentucky, and Clyde Asbury, of Central City, Kentucky; one sister, Patricia Asbury, of Rockport; and two grandchildren, Keri Ford and John Ford.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. Keith Shepherd officiating. Burial will follow in Echols Cemetery. Friends may visit with Judy’s family from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
