CENTRAL CITY, Ky. — Anthony “Tony” Greer, 68, of Central City, passed away Monday, Jan. 15, 2024, at Ohio County Healthcare in Hartford, Kentucky. Anthony Lee Greer was born Nov. 4, 1955, in Knott County, Kentucky, to the late Bobby Ray and Shirley Jean Hayes Greer, was married to the former Betty Sue Frailey on Dec. 23, 1981, and was better known as ‘Tony’ to both his family and friends.
Tony earlier worked at Comcast Cable Company and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He enjoyed golfing, was a University of Kentucky football and basketball fan, and enjoyed watching wrestling.
In addition to his parents, Tony was preceded in death by a brother, Mike Greer.
Tony is survived by his wife of 42 years, Betty Greer; three sons, Brandon Greer, Shane Greer, and Justin Greer; eight grandchildren; and two brothers, Steve Greer and Mark Greer.
Family services will be held at a later date. Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel is handling the arrangements for Tony’s family. There will be no public visitation.
