**UPDATE** Boil Water Advisory lifted for Windy Hill tank customers along KY 505 S

**UPDATE** HARTFORD, Ky. (1/15/23) — The Kentucky Division of Water and the Ohio County Water District have lifted the precautionary boil water advisory for OCWD customers served by the Windy Hill water tank issued after emergency repairs were made Saturday, Jan. 13. The advisory impacted 1,714 customers served by OCWD in the following areas:

Baizetown, Select, Manda, Arnold, Mt. Pleasant, Windy Hill, White Run, Rosine, Horse Branch, Flint Springs, Renfrow, Dogwalk, Neafus, Dan, Sunnydale, Sulphur Springs, Dundee, Narrows, Olaton, Davidson, Hites Falls, Shreve, Askins, Vanzant and Falls of Rough.

Tests confirm the water quality is safe for customers to drink and use for all other purposes.

HARTFORD, Ky. — The Ohio County Water District issued a Boil Water Advisory for the area of the Windy Hill water tank along KY 505 S Saturday, Jan. 13.

According to OCWD General Manager Eric Hickman, OCWD distribution crews made an emergency repair on an 18″ main discharge line out of the Windy Hill water tank. The leak began Saturday around 6:45 a.m. and crews were able to locate and isolate the affected area.

Due to the weather and environmental conditions, repairs took longer than anticipated, but Hickman repairs were completed in a matter of hours.

A Boil Water Advisory was issued out of precaution for the 1,714 OCWD customers who experienced a significant drop in water pressure served by the Windy Hill Tank.

The areas covered by the Boil Water Advisory are Baizetown, Select, Manda, Arnold, Mt. Pleasant, Windy Hill, White Run, Rosine, Horse Branch, Flint Springs, Renfrow, Dogwalk, Neafus, Dan, Sunnydale, Sulphur Springs, Dundee, Narrows, Olaton, Davidson, Hites Falls, Shreve, Askins, Vanzant and Falls of Rough.
