Claude R. ‘Pete’ Killman

BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Claude R. “Pete” Killman, 87, of Beaver Dam, died Sunday, Dec. 31, 2023, with his wife and daughters by his side. Pete was born on Aug. 4, 1936, to the late Robert L. and Mary Alwilda Bennett Killman.

Pete was a master mechanic for Peabody Coal Western Division, served in the United States Marines, was a 60-year member of the Hartford Masonic Lodge #675, and a member of the Rizpah Shrine.

He was preceded in death by a son, Kevin; brothers, Kessel, Bob, and Bill, Sisters, Jackie, Roberta, and Marie; grandson, Alec Kevin; and son-in-law, Dr. Philip Trover.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Chris; daughters, Kathy (David) Allen, Korey (Gregg)Weathers and Kelly Trover; grandchildren, Michael D. Allen, Kyle and Samantha, John and Samantha, Ashley, Jordan and Whitney, Jessica and Clay, J. Dylan and Brittany, and their father, Tommy James, Haley and David, Collin and Liza; great-grandchildren, Josslyn, Khloe, Henry, Faith, Macy Jo, Ruby, Mark, Korbin, Collin, Keely, Hayden, Addison, Hazel, Lillian, Evelyn, Vivienne, Olivia, and Jack; and two sisters, Sharon K. Pharris and Delores Walker.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. There will be a Masonic service at 5 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Family will have a private service at a later date. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford.

The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital or Shriner’s Children Hospital.
