FALLS OF ROUGH, Ky. — Bobby Gene Sorrels, 87, of Falls of Rough, died Saturday, Dec. 23 2023, at Walnut Creek Alzheimer’s Special Care Center.
He was retired from Big Rivers and was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi Sorrels, and his parents, Willie Cecil and Edna Mae Sorrels.
Survivors include his sons, Jay (Vanissa) Sorrels, of Owensboro, Kentucky, and Robert (Michelle) Sorrels, of Falls of Rough; a daughter, Mary Veronica (Doug) Longlott, of Somerset, Kentucky; brother, Tom (Anita) Sorrels, of Dundee, Kentucky; sisters, Bonnie (David) Sharp, of Kouts, Indiana, and Barbara (Carl) Shake, of Arizona; and eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 29, at Geary Funeral Home with burial in Fordsville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of the service Friday at the funeral home.
