BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Cecil Wayne Whitler Sr., 67, of Beaver Dam, passed away Friday, Dec. 22, 2023, at his home. He was born Oct. 27, 1956, in Hartford, Kentucky, to the late Gilbert Whitler and Inez Taylor Whitler.
Cecil retired from Raybold Construction.
Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Brian Scott Stout; four brothers, Charles Ray Whitler, Jimmy Dale Whitler, Jackie B. Whitler, and Danny Whitler; two sisters, Joyce Jewell Decker and Margaret Lee Wallace.
He leaves behind to cherish many memories, his wife, Tena Kiper Whitler, of Beaver Dam; eight children, Cecil Wayne (Stacy) Whitler Jr., of Russellville, Kentucky, Sandra (Xavier) Camacho, of Florida, Christina Phelps, of Beaver Dam, Tina Lori (Ellen) Watson, of Beaver Dam, Tommy (Nicole) Watson, of Beaver Dam, Vicki (Charlie) Buchanan, of Beaver Dam, Steven (Beth) Watson, of Hartford, and Erin (Zakry) Baize, of Beaver Dam; he was also blessed with 23 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery. Friends may visit with Cecil’s family from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
