FRANKLIN, Ky. — Regina Jones Franklin, 75, of Franklin, died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2023, at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
A native of Echols, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Elliott Jones and Ercie Curtis Jones. Regina retired from the Simpson County School System where she taught home economics.
After retiring from teaching, Regina joined her husband in ownership of Boot Corral in Goodlettsville, Tennessee, (western wear) and Franklin Farms. They raised and showed Pinzgaur Cattle, had chicken houses, and owned a gravel business in Farmington, Kentucky.
She was a member of Martin’s Chapel General Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Landis Franklin; sister, June May; two brothers, Freeman and William Jones; nephew, Michael Jones; and step-grandchild, Lee Lacy.
Survivors include stepchildren, Rowena Lewis, Karen Lacy, and Monica Franklin; step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces, Dirk May-Fitzgerald, Marty Bolka (Jeff), Janice Jones McMurtry, Keith (Becky) Jones, Patti (Tim) Karn, Joyce Jones Hager and Doug Jones.
A funeral service will be held Sunday, Dec. 24, at 1 p.m. at Crafton Funeral Home with burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
