REYNOLDS STATION, Ky. — Ervin Burnette, 83, of Reynolds Station, died Friday, Nov. 24, 2023, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born in Rockvale, Kentucky, to the late Isiah and Ada Mae Burnette.
Ervin was a timber cutter and farmer, a member of the Masonic Lodge, and was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded also in death by a daughter, Lisa Faye Nugent; grandson, Dustin Ray Nugent; brother, Mervel Burnett; and sister, Dorothy Willoughby Thurman.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Barbara Burnette, of Reynolds Station; sons, Jim (Kim) Burnette, of Owensboro, Kentucky, Danny (Bridget) Burnette, of Reynolds Station, and Shorty (Tammy) Burnette, of Roff, Kentucky; sister, Vivian Fuqua, of Falls of Rough, Kentucky; and seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 26, at Geary Funeral Home with burial in Macedonia Cemetery in Falls of Rough. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Sunday at the funeral home.
