CENTERTOWN, Ky. — Bobby Joe “BJ” Brown, 44, of Centertown, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2023, at Ohio County Healthcare. He was born on June 23, 1979, in Owensboro, Kentucky, to the late Phillip and Mary Burden Brown.
BJ worked in construction and was an avid deer hunter and fisherman.
Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Bobbie Jo Brown; one nephew, Colton Brown; and one niece, Sadie Sutton.
He leaves behind to cherish many memories, his wife of 24 years, Maria Stewart Brown, of Centertown; one daughter, Kayla Brown, of Centertown; five siblings, Michael Shane (Charity) Brown, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, Angie Johnson, of Hartford, Kentucky, John Brown, of Centertown, Salina Sutton, of Owensboro, Kentucky, and Jackie Brown, of Cromwell, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Michael Brown speaking. Burial will follow in Taylor Mine Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Friends may visit with BJ’s family from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday and from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
