BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Jesse James Burden, 68, of Beaver Dam, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Nov. 16, 2023, in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born Feb. 10, 1955, in Ohio County, Kentucky, to the late Wavy G. Burden and Laney Pearl Finley Burden.
He enjoyed breaking down and rebuilding cars and working on his family home.
Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant grandson, Brian Sharp, and three brothers, Bobby, Wayne, and Buddy Burden.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory are his daughter, Sherry Lynn Burden, of Grandview, Indiana; five grandchildren, Leslie (Gavin) Holland, Jennifer (Sean) Snodgrass, Bethany Skelton, Nicholas (Iesha) Skelton, and Jacob Skelton; 10 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Gladys Burden, of Beaver Dam, Patsy Green, of Roseboro, North Carolina, and Belle (Roy) Billiter, of Beaver Dam; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Rev. Jay Raymond officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Butler County. Friends may visit with Jesse’s family from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.
