HARTFORD, Ky. — Mary Jane Chinn, 95, of Hartford, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2023, at Redbanks Nursing Home in Henderson, Kentucky. She was born June 30, 1928, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Robert Holloway and Julia Prachniak Andreski.
Mary Jane was a member of Hartford Baptist Church where she served on the WMU, Ohio County Hospital Auxiliary, Hartford Women’s Club, and Bennett Homemakers.
Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ercie Lee Chinn; one son, Richard Layton Chinn; one brother, Robert Holloway; and one great-grandson, Dalton Chinn.
She leaves behind to cherish many memories, three children, Terry (Susan) Chinn, of Hartford, Bobby (Lori) Chinn, of Somerset, Kentucky, and Julie (Kenneth) Davis, of Henderson; and a sister-in-law, Terry Landry, of Tampa, Florida. Mary Jane was blessed with eleven grandchildren, Kelly Chinn Lewis, Mary (Jason) Tierney, Jonathan Davis, Erica (Cody) Travis, Scott (Amber) Chinn, Greg (Emily) Chinn, Sara Taylor, Jessica (Joe) Mosley, Bryanna (Daniel) Bratcher, David Escobar and Elisabeth (Daniel) Crockett, and nine great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Rodney Albin officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford. Friends may visit with Mary Jane’s family from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
