HARTFORD, Ky. — Rosettta Risse, 68, of Hartford, died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2023, in Newburgh, Indiana. Rosetta was born in Hartford, Kentucky, to the late Luke and Christine Whitler Elms.
Rosetta was a cook at the Ohio County Detention Center. She was a member of Abundant Life Church, she enjoyed reading, cruising, and oldies music. She loved her family, sharing God’s word, and cooking at the jail.
She was preceded in death by Pee Wee Kessinger and Jerry Elms.
Survivors include two sons, William Jody Howard (Angel) and Chad Howard (Heather Pinks); a daughter, Erica Patterson (Jacob); two brothers, Greg Elms and Bruce Elms; one sister, Sue Shephard; seven grandchildren, Brooklyn Oberhausen, Autumn Howard, Austin Sharp, Taegan Pinks, Luke Howard, Connor Patterson, and Emilia Patterson; and four great-grandchildren.
Services are 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12, at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky, with Bro. Keith Shephard officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. until funeral time on Sunday at the funeral home.
