HARTFORD, Ky. — The Ohio County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating a rash of overnight motor vehicle thefts occurring from Nov. 7-8. Multiple motor vehicle thefts have been reported throughout the Western Kentucky area.
According to Ohio County Sheriff Adam Wright, his office has been in contact with various law enforcement agencies throughout the area and has shared as much information as possible. An increase in overnight patrols in the affected areas will begin immediately.
“We are urging residents to remain vigilant and take precautions to protect their vehicles. Simple steps such as locking car doors and securing valuables can help reduce the risk of becoming a victim of motor vehicle theft,” Wright said. “Community cooperation and reporting of any suspicious activity are crucial in assisting law enforcement in their efforts to solve these crimes.
