CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — June Phyllis Bishop Moseley, 86, formerly of Evansville, Indiana; passed from this life on to the next on Nov. 6, 2023. She was born Jan. 23, 1937, in McHenry, Kentucky, in Ohio County.

She was a faithful wife, mother, and homemaker. June loved her family, and she was loved by her family. She loved to sew and cook and garden. She served as a Sunday school teacher, children’s church director, vacation bible school director, and youth camp teacher. She was a member of The Church of God faith. She was instrumental in leading many children to Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Arthur R. Moseley; parents, Irvin and Gladys Bishop; brother, Birchel Bishop; sister, Glenda Peters; grandsons, Jeremy Moseley and Tim Moseley; great-grandchildren, EJ Moseley, and Jackson James Lee.

June is survived by her sister, Karen (Lenus) Moore, of McHenry; five children, J. Glenn (Phillis) Moseley, of Chattanooga; Ron Moseley, of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas; Ed (Patricia) Moseley, of Newburgh, Indiana; Phyllis (Nate) Smith, of Charleston, Tennessee, and Mitch Moseley, of Knoxville, Tennessee; and 16 grandchildren, Brian (Susie) Moseley, of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee; DeAnna (Shaphan) Marler, of Dayton, Tennessee; Chad (Kimberly) Moseley, of Walnut Ridge; Jason (Heather) Moseley, of Maumelle, Arkansas; Tammy Moseley, of Newburgh; Daniel Schaad, of Newburgh; Becky (Jay) Lee, of Cohutta, Georgia; Andy (Kelli) Schaad, of Ooltewah, Tennessee; Robbie Smith, of Charleston; Kathy (Jason) Basham, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana; Carolyn (Donnie) Cook of Rossville, Indiana, Elisabeth (Travis) Ashley, of Gatlinburg, Tennessee, Grayson Moseley, of Minot, North Dakota, Angelika Moseley, of Dayton, Katie Carick, of Knoxville, and Alexa Kidd, of Owensboro, Kentucky. She is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

A Visitation will be held at the Valley View Chapel, 7414 Old Lee Hwy, Chattanooga, Tennessee, on Wednesday, Nov. 8, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.

A subsequent Visitation and Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Chapel of Bevil Brothers Funeral Home, 226 Louisville Road, Beaver Dam, Kentucky, on Saturday, Nov. 11. The Visitation is scheduled for 10 a.m. with the service following at 1 p.m. An Interment Service is to follow immediately afterward. at the Dockery Family Cemetery, also in Beaver Dam.
