HORSE BRANCH, Ky. — Norman Gene Ferguson, 83, passed away Thursday, Oct. 26, 2023, at Beaver Dam Nursing and Rehab in Beaver Dam, Kentucky. He was born in Grayson County, Kentucky, on Feb. 27, 1940, the son of the late Thomas Woodrow and Jennie Whitehead Ferguson.

Norman was a retired truck driver and mechanic. He also served as a Deputy Sheriff and Constable in Ohio County, Kentucky. He also served on Dundee Fire Department.

He was preceded in death also by his infant brother, James Edward Ferguson, and a sister, Imogene Ferguson Maxfield.

Survivors include his son, Geary Gene Ferguson (Fredia); two grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, one nephew, and two nieces.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29, at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. Glennie Geary officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
