HARTFORD, Ky. — The Ohio County Courthouse will be closed Friday, Oct. 20. Ohio County Judge-Executive David Johnston issued an executive order announcing the courthouse’s closing Tuesday.

Johnston is closing the courthouse due to the Hartford October Fest which is set to take place this weekend in downtown Hartford.

In Johnston’s executive order, he cited that the Hartford October Fest would require a large number of streets to be closed, disrupting traffic, and making it hard for the public to access county offices located in the courthouse.

Those offices in the courthouse include the Ohio County Clerk’s Office, Ohio County PVA’s Office and Ohio County Sheriff’s Office, including the sheriff’s tax office.
