‘Mealy’ Erman Brown

FORDSVILLE, Ky. — “Mealy” Erman Brown, 85, of Fordsville, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023, at Ohio County Healthcare.

He was born in Fordsville and was a wrecker service and auto salvage business owner. Mealy loved to make people smile.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Brown and Elvera Howard; a son, Bryan Brown; and three brothers, Jim Brown, Thurman “PeeWee” Brown, and Malvin “Bubo” Brown.

Survivors include his sons, Stefan (Patricia) Brown, of Falls of Rough, Kentucky, and Martin (Ann) Brown, of Fordsville; his daughter, Karen Huff, of Fordsville; grandchildren, Bryan, Josh, Brittany, and Kyle; and great-grandchildren, Ivan, Julia, Rhiannon, Barrett, Wyatt, and Molly.

Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, at Geary Funeral Home with burial in Fordsville Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
