BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Robert Dois Snodgrass, 92, formerly of Centertown, went to be with the Lord on Oct. 11, 2023. He passed away at the Bowling Green Medical Center, in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Robert and Ava Daugherty Snodgrass.

Dois was a member of the Centertown Baptist Church for 73 years. He worked at Peabody Coal Company, Ken Surface Mine, where he was a foreman and retired at the age of 55. After retirement, he pursued his passion for small engines and tractor restoration.

He enjoyed going to tractor shows and small engine shows, taking the grandchildren with them in their motor home. He loved making ice cream in his 5-gallon White Mountain ice cream maker, which he had powered by three small engines, pulled by the 1941 Chevy flatbed wood truck which he restored. He loved to be with people and being outside doing things.

Dois rode his horse, Buck, in 2022. He had a lifelong love for horses.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Anita Paige Snodgrass; grandson, Chase Coleman Snodgrass; and sister, Imogene Ferguson.

He is survived by his sister, Chalna Smaltz; sons, Steve (Jeannie) Snodgrass, Stan (Jennifer) Snodgrass, and Greg Snodgrass; grandchildren, Jessica Snodgrass, Whitney(Clint) Eakles, Miles ( Abbie) Snodgrass, Maegan (Kris) Lauder, and Chandler Snodgrass; great-grandchildren, Ava Belle Eakles, Eva Lynne Eakles, Huck Allen Eakles, Nyla Paige Eakles, Casen Snodgrass, Annabelle Snodgrass, Blair Snodgrass, Jovi Lauder, Margo Lauder, and Jemma Lauder.

The family would like to invite you to the funeral service held on Saturday, Oct.14, with visitation held at 12 noon and service to begin at 2 p.m. at Centertown Baptist Church.
