HORSE BRANCH, Ky. — Elmer B. Kelly, 83, of Horse Branch, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2023, with his family by his side. He was born March 24, 1940, in Horse Branch, to the late Willie Kelley and Lorene Hayse Kelley.
Elmer B. was a proud resident of Beaver Dam Nursing & Rehab where he joined in almost all activities and enjoyed growing vegetables with the other residents. He retired from the Kentucky Highway Department.
Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Mildred Kelley; two sisters, Donnie Wallace and Martine Frame; and two brothers, Delmer Kelley and Wilmer “Otto” Kelley.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory a bother, Bobby Kelley, of Morgantown, Kentucky; two sisters, Wanda Arnold, of Louisville, Kentucky, and Pamela Sue Daugherty, of Beaver Dam; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Rev. Terry Tarrance officiating. Burial will follow in Leach Cemetery in Horse Branch. Friends may visit with Elmer B’s family from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.
