BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Billy D. Barron, 76, of Beaver Dam, went to his heavenly home on Friday, July 21, 2023, surrounded by his family at his home. He was born May 13, 1947, in Livingston, Kentucky, to the late William Barron and Betty Mason Barron.
Billy retired from Ligon Transport. He served in the United State Air Force during Vietnam.
Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Eddie Barron and Ricky Barron, and his first wife, Anna Young Barron.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 19 years, Janice Henderson Barron, of Beaver Dam; one daughter, Andria (Chris) Shephard, of Beaver Dam; two stepsons, Donnie (Victoria) McCown, of Cromwell, Kentucky, and Jason McCown, of Cromwell; eight grandchildren, Gabriella Shephard, Danica (David) Bullock, Mollie Shephard, Bella McCown, Brylee McCown, Dakota McCown, Aunya McCown, and Riley McCown; one great-grandson, Lynnox; two sisters, Joanne Meadows, of Hartford, Kentucky, and Janet Ashby, of McHenry, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 25, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Recie Young officiating. Burial will follow in Render Memorial Cemetery in McHenry with Military Honors provided by the Ohio County Honor Guard. Friends may visit with Billy’s family from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
