Make Sure Your Vaccinations Are Up to Date

With the start of school around the corner, it’s time to make sure school-age children are up to date on their vaccines. Vaccines are an effective way to prevent or protect against the harmful effects of serious disease. According to the Kentucky Department for Public Health website, “On-time vaccination during childhood is important. Vaccinations help to provide immunity before children are exposed to potentially life-threatening diseases.” As adults, staying up to date on vaccines remains important to prevent and reduce the risks of harmful disease.
