GREENVILLE, Ky. — Helen Yvonne Evans, 84, of Greenville, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2023, at her residence. She was born in Grayson County, Kentucky, on Oct. 18, 1938, the daughter of Shelby Higgs and Lulua Woosley.
She was of the Baptist faith and was a housewife and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Russell Evans; three sons, Boyd Evans, Arnold Evans, and Eddie Evans; and one sister, Hazel King.
She is survived by a daughter, Della Rose (Charles) Teddleton, of Weir, Kentucky; five sons, Floyd Evans, of Powderly, Kentucky, Ernest (Tana Lane) Evans, of Madisonville, Kentucky, Gorden (Grace) Evans, of Poke, Florida, Evan Evans, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, and Marvin (Kelly) Evans, of Manitou, Kentucky, 16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Oscar (Martha) Higgs, of Caneyville, Kentucky.
There will be no visitation.
Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, June 10, at 1 p.m. at Mt. Liberty Church Cemetery in Morgantown, Kentucky, with Bro. David Fall officiating.
Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville is in charge of arrangements.
