OC Schools’ Summer Food Service for children begins June 1

HARTFORD, Ky. — With summer right around the corner, it’s time to think about how children in Ohio County will eat healthy while school is out.

As it has in the past, Ohio County Schools will provide free meals to children 18 years and under during the summer. There will be multiple options to receive meals, including picking meals up at one of four schools or getting meals from one of the multiple bus stops.

Lunch and breakfast will be available at the locations listed below Monday-Friday, June 1-July 28. Lunch and breakfast will not be served July 4.

Wayland Alexander Elementary 

  • Breakfast – 8-845 a.m.
  • Lunch – 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.

Fordsville Elementary

  • Breakfast – 8-845 a.m.
  • Lunch – 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.

Horse Branch Elementary

  • Breakfast – 8-845 a.m.
  • Lunch – 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.

Ohio County High School

  • Breakfast – 8-845 a.m.
  • Lunch – 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.

Ohio County Schools will travel to multiple locations to serve lunch on its bus. Children 18 years and younger can enjoy a healthy meal on the bus designed to dine.

Ohio County Schools Hartford Mobile Route

  • River Bend Apartment, Hartford – 10:30-10:45 a.m.
  • Living Faith Baptist Church – 11:05-11:20 a.m.
  • Lake Court Trailer Park, 315 W. Union St. Hartford – 11:40-11:55 a.m.
  • Centertown Community Center – 12:10-12:25 p.m.
  • Hartford Christian Church – 12:45-1 p.m.
  • Ellis Park – 1:05-1:20 p.m.

Ohio County Schools Beaver Dam Mobile Route

  • 2nd St., Beaver Dam – 10:20-10:35 a.m.
  • U.S. 62 W Trailer Court, Beaver Dam – 10:40-10:55 a.m.
  • McHenry Park – 11:05-11:20 a.m.
  • Cromwell Park – 11:40-11:55 a.m.
  • Beaver Dam Park – 12:15-12:30 p.m.
  • Oldham Park – 12:40-12:55 p.m.
  • Williams St. – 1-1:15 p.m.
