CROMWELL, Ky. — Betty Louise Phelps Burden, 84, of Cromwell, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at the Twin Rivers Nursing Home in Owensboro, Kentucky. She was born on Feb. 7, 1939, to late Erdist and Margaret Lucille Martin Phelps.
She was a member of the New Liberty Baptist Church and retired from sitting with the elderly.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ira Neil Burden; sisters, Bertha Willingham and Wilma Abernathy; and brother James Phelps.
Betty is survived by her son, Christopher Burden, and wife, Terry, of Livermore, Kentucky; grandchildren, Shana Bolton, of Sacramento, Kentucky, Nathan Stallings, of Owensboro, and Katie Davis, of Georgia; great-grandchildren, Cash Johnston, Kora Stallings, Rubie Stallings, Jonah Stallings, and Octavia Bolton, all of Livermore; sister, Anna Belle Groover, of Indiana; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Saturday, May 13, at 3 p.m. Burial will follow in the Wade Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 12 p.m. until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.
