CANEYVILLE, Ky. — Judy Sue Embry, 68, of Caneyville, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2023, in Leitchfield, Kentucky. She was born on March 20, 1955, in Butler County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Clarence and Gracie Hunt Stewart.
She was a retired cook at the Caneyville Grade School, who enjoyed crocheting and reading.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Hayes.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Ronnie Embry; one son, Chris R. Embry (Melanie), of Beaver Dam, Kentucky; three brothers, Rebus Stewart, of Big Clifty, Kentucky, John Stewart, of Bee Springs, Kentucky, and Bro. Dewey Baker, of Caneyville; one sister, Dean Farris, of Caneyville; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, May 1, at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Layman Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10 a.m. Monday until time of services.
