BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Dennis Lee Horn, 68, of Beaver Dam, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, after a lengthy battle with Atypical Parkinsonism.
Dennis was a 1972 graduate of Greenville High School and earned a BBA from The College of Insurance, New York City, New York, in 1980. During his varied career, he owned Dennis’ Market, Greenville, Kentuck, for five years, Lebanon IGA, Lebanon, Tennessee, for five years, was an underwriter with INA Insurance in Houston, Texas, for three years, an Allstate Insurance Agent for 25 years in Brentwood, Tennessee, and has owned Horn Insurance Depot, Beaver Dam, Kentucky, since 2012.
He became a Christian at a young age and was a member of First Christian Church, Greenville. Dennis loved to travel and lived in New York, Texas, Kansas, Tennessee, and Kentucky. He would not hesitate to help someone in need.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Melvin Ray and Mary Edith Horn, of Greenville.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Darlene Horn; his beloved daughter, Jennifer (Andrew) Sumner, of Salem, Indiana; son, Alexander Lee Horn, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; his cherished granddaughter, Stella Rae Sumner; his brothers, Wayne (Kayla) Horn, Greenville, and Terry (Robin) Horn, of Peachtree City, Georgia; and a sister, Denise (Brad) Sparks, Greenville.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 14, at 11 a.m. at Carters Creek Cemetery with Rev. Paul Moore officiating.
