MORGANTOWN, Ky. — Walter Duncan West, 53, of Morgantown, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at his parents’ residence. Walter was born on Sunday, Aug. 17, 1969, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, to Tesley Duncan and Janice Marie Enochs West.
He was a member of Morgantown Community Church and worked many years at Sumitomo Electric and Toyo. Walter enjoyed gardening, raising chickens, music, playing the piano, and watching NASCAR races.
He is preceded in death by one brother, Aaron Jeffrey West; maternal grandparents, Leonard and Leah Enochs; and paternal grandparents, Gettie and Nokie West.
Walter Duncan West is survived by his parents, Duncan and Janice West, of Morgantown; honorary son, Jeffrey Davidson, of Morgantown; two brothers, Timothy Wayne West (Kim), of Morgantown, and Jonathan Paul West (Mechelle), of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; two nieces, Lenze West, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, and Whitney Byrd (Spencer), of Helena, Arkansas; one nephew, Graham Davis West, of Elizabethtown; and one great-nephew, Aaron Pharris, of Beaver Dam.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Thursday, April 13, at 2 p.m. with Bro. Graham Davis West officiating. Burial will be in the Gettie West Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 13, from 10:30 a.m. until funeral time at 2 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
