LEITCHFIELD, Ky. — Eva Sue Justis, 45, of Leitchfield, passed away Saturday, Dec. 10, 2022, at Grayson Nursing and Rehab in Leitchfield. She was born on Ja. 31, 1977, in Ohio County, Kentucky, the daughter of Peggy Salmon Embry and the late Vernon Embry.
A friend to everyone she met, Eva enjoyed playing and talking on her phone, selling Avon & Tupperware, and socializing. She was a member of Zion’s Harmony Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father.
She is survived by her husband, Joe Justis, of Leitchfield; two sisters, Raechel Brooks (Jason), of Caneyville, Kentucky, and Christa Lush (Ricky), of Clarkson, Kentucky; her mother, Peggy Embry, of Caneyville; and four nieces and nephews, Seth and Aiden Brooks and Kylie and Ryder Lush. Her beloved pets Bear and Morris also survive.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 19, at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Jeff Dennis will be officiating. Burial will be in the Bates Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday and from 9 a.m. Monday until time of services.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Dermitt Funeral Home to assist with final expenses.
