BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Robert B “Bubby” Phelps, 60, of Beaver Dam, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022, surrounded by his family at Commonwealth Specialty Hospital in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He was born May 27, 1962, in Hartford, Kentucky, to Robert T. Phelps and the late Margaret Ann Hillard Phelps.
Bubby worked as an auto body technician and later for Perdue Farms. He enjoyed fishing and, later in life, he liked watching the deer, wrestling, NASCAR, and spending time with his family. Bubby was a member of Oak Grove Church of God.
Aside from his mother, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Sonya Burden.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 39 years, Karen Phelps, of Beaver Dam; daughter, April (Brian) Wilson, of Beaver Dam; two grandsons, Elijah Wilson and Andres Velasquez; father, Robert T. (Ruth Ann) Phelps, of Cromwell, Kentucky; three sisters, Debbie (Jimmy) Horn, of Beaver Dam, Sherry (Earl) Combs, of Tennessee; and Holly (Byron) Tichenor, of Beaver Dam; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, at William L Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Bro. Steven D. Leach officiating. Burial will follow in Cool Springs Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Friends may visit with Bubby’s family from 10 AM until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home.
