My name is Georgina Midkiff and I am running for First District Magistrate. I am 48 years old and have been an Ohio County resident since I was born.
I enjoy couponing and doing volunteer work.
At the age of 16, I started my first career at McDonald’s and after two years I became a manager. I have also been a store manager at KFC and a realtor.
I am one of a handful of kids who have graduated from Ohio County High with a perfect 13 years of attendance. This was accomplished by my determination.
In 2013, I was diagnosed with stage 4 mantle cell lymphoma which is a non-curable cancer. I was given a 5 percent chance of living if I didn’t have a bone marrow transplant. So on Sept. 26, 2013, I had my transplant. Two years passed and my cancer returned. Then came transplant number two on March 10, 2016. I broke a record, as I was the patient that was released in fewer days than anyone ever.
I am a go-getter with a big heart and I am asking those in the First District to please vote for me and let me work the magistrate position as my full-time job.
