OWENSBORO, Ky. — Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2022, the Green River District Health Department reported that in the previous week it had investigated 119 new COVID-19 infections; 62 in Daviess County, four in Hancock County, 24 in Henderson County, seven in McLean County, three in Ohio County, 10 in Union County and nine in Webster County.
There were five COVID-19 deaths reported the previous week. The reported deaths were three residents of Daviess County and two residents of Ohio County.
With the deaths of two Ohio Countians last week, a total of 113 Ohio Countians have died due to COVID-19-related complications.
The average number of new cases in the district for that period was 17 new cases a day. The newly reported cases were investigated between Oct. 3-9, 2022.

Levels can be low, medium, or high and are determined by looking at hospital beds being used, hospital admissions, and the total number of new COVID-19 cases in an area.
The COVID-19 Community Level is currently classified as low for all seven counties in Green River District – Daviess, Hancock, Henderson, McLean, Ohio, Union, Union and Webster.

- Get tested if you have symptoms.
- You may choose to wear a mask at any time.
- People with symptoms, a positive test, or exposure to someone with COVID-19 should wear a mask. Additional precautions may be needed for people at high risk for severe illness.
