BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Deborah “Debbie” Lynn Williams, 67, passed away on Monday, Oct. 3, 2022, after a long battle with multiple illnesses. She was surrounded by family at the time of her passing. She was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to the late Bobby A. Pearson and Frances Dziacko Pearson.
Debbie loved listening to music and spending time with her family. She had the heart of a servant, and an irresistible urge to provide hospitality to those fortunate enough to cross her path. She was happiest preparing meals and wrapping presents.
Holidays, birthdays, and other events were made extra special by her love and enthusiasm. She developed chronic illness in her 30’s and faced many challenges in life as a result. Despite this, the disease did not define her. Her loving spirit transcended any physical ailments, and she leaves behind a beautiful legacy of faith and hope. Her confidence in the salvation available to all through Christ Jesus was unwavering. She was a beacon of Godliness to her family and friends. She handled life’s challenges with grace and strength, exemplifying perseverance and love-lessons which we carry forward in her absence.
2 Corinthians 5:6-8 — “Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. For we live by faith, not sight. We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord.”
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Richard Frederick Gimmel IV.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Ted Williams; daughters, Heather Age, Christal (Richie) Gimmel, Ashley Williams; six grandchildren, Pearson, Preston and Parker Age, Will and Miles Gimmel, and Dylan Paxton; and two brothers, Bill Pearson and Robert Pearson
