Arlene Kirk Fulkerson

MATANZAS, Ky. — Arlene Kirk Fulkerson was born below Centertown in Matanzas, Kentucky, to Raymond A. and Elizabeth Carolyn Bennett Kirk, on Oct. 6, 1944, and went to her heavenly home on Sept. 21, 2022.

She was the second of five children and a graduate of Centertown High School, Owensboro Cosmetology School, and studied at Eastern Kentucky University.

She was a member of Life Point Baptist Church. She wore many hats down through the years including daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, beautician, church nursery worker, youth worker at Green River Boys Camp, caregiver, and friend.

Arlene became known to everyone simply as” Nana”. She was full of life, she loved children, animals, “Old Centertown,” family, and her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She will be missed and lovingly remembered. The family wishes to relay our sincere thanks to everyone who touched her life.

She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Mary Lee Kirk Kious.

She is survived by her two daughters, Cindy Norsworthy (Eric) and Lisa Patton; siblings, Billy Kirk (Melissa), Sherry Curtis (Darrell), and Julie Chinn (Harold); grandchildren, Lindsay Likens McLevaine (Kris), Kody Likens, and Leslie Likens, Roslynn Jourdan and Reid Patton; and seven great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and- nephews.

Graveside Services will be held Sunday, Sept. 25, at 2 p.m. at Walton’s Creek Cemetery near Centertown, Kentucky.
