HARTFORD — Bobby Ray Greer, 93, passed away Monday, Sept. 19, 2022, at his home. He was born in Jenkins, Kentucky, on June 30, 1929, the son of the late Noah Conley and Sarah Mullins Greer.
Bobby was a member of the UMWA and was a bathhouse attendant at Peabody Coal, Mine 10, in Taylorville, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shriley; son, Mike; and granddaughter, Stacey Greer.
Survivors include three sons; Steve (Milinda) Greer, Mark (Theresa) Greer, and Tony (Betty) Greer; 10 grandchildren; brother, Tommy Greer; and sister, Carol Sue Cantrel.
The family will have services at Pound, Virginia, at a later date. Bevil Bros. Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
