HARTFORD, Ky. — The Ohio County Water District has announced this morning that the Boil Water Advisory has been lifted for those served by the Windy Hill tank.
According to OCWD General Manager Eric Hickman, the water samples for the area came back clear and the boil water has been lifted.
OCWD made an emergency repair on a 12″ main line leak along KY 505 S that directly feeds the Windy Hill water tank. The leak began around 10 p.m. Wednesday night and was found and isolated at 10:30 p.m. Repairs were completed by 4:30 a.m. Thursday morning.
There are 1,780 customers served by the Windy Hill tank in the following areas:
Baizetown, Select, Manda, Arnold, Mt. Pleasant, Windy Hill, White Run, Rosine Horse Branch, Flint Springs, Renfrow, Dogwalk, Neafus, Dan, Sunnydale, Sulphur Springs, Dundee, Narrows, Magan, Olaton, Davidson, Hites Falls, Shreve, Askins, Vanzant and Falls of Rough.
