HORSE BRANCH, Ky. — Danny Lee Gallion, 76, of Horse Branch, went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born Oct. 31, 1945, in Jenkins, Kentucky, to the late Carl Eugene Gallion Sr. and Lucille Mae Blizzard Gallion.
Mr. Gallion retired from Honeywell (Bendix) and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time spoiling the grandbabies.
Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Micah Shannon Gallion.
Mr. Gallion leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 56 years, Margo Hayse Gallion, of Horse Branch; two sons, Danny Eugene (Amanda) Gallion, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, and William Wayne (Karen) Gallion, of Frankfort, Kentucky; one daughter, Rhonda Kaye (Kelly) Evans, of Frankfort; eight grandchildren, Alyssa Rice, Sherita (James) Parritt, Levi Gallion, Jacob Gallion, Brandon Gallion, Brent Evans, Cora Mae Gallion, and Chaeli Evans; two great-grandchildren, William James Parritt and Anne Elisabeth Parritt; two brothers, Carl Eugene (Cassie) Gallion Jr., of Berea, Kentucky, and Shannon Ray (Judy) Gallion, of Morristown, Tennessee; one sister, Carla Kaye (Jack) Branham, of McRoberts; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 4, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Gerald Geary officiating. Burial will follow in Leach Cemetery in Horse Branch, Kentucky. Friends may visit with Mr. Gallion’s family from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. until the time of the service Sunday at the funeral home.
