HORSE BRANCH, Ky. — Janice Sue Whitehouse, 76, of Horse Branch, passed away Thursday, Aug. 18, 2022, surrounded by her family at her home. She was born April 7, 1946, in Ohio County, Kentucky, to the late Antney Jackson Daugherty and Livona Burden Daugherty.
Janice retired from Cowden’s and was of the Baptist Faith.
Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Leon Whitehouse, on Jan. 3, 2016; one daughter, Paticia Sue Cardwell; and one sister, Margaret Daugherty.
Janice leaves behind to cherish her memory, one son, Leon (Lisa) Whitehouse, of Horse Branch; seven grandchildren, Kristin Geary, Patrick (Amber) Cardwell, Nikki (Jassi) Singh, Dakoda Cardwell, AJ (Erin) Whitehouse, Felicia (Corey) Logsdon, and Jessie Whitehouse; several great-grandchildren; one brother, Antney (Elaine) Daugherty, of Morgantown, Kentucky; and three sisters, Girthel (JD) Keown, of Horse Branch, June Wilson, of Louisville, Kentucky, and Betty Raley, of Hartford, Kentucky.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 22, at Rosine Cemetery in Rosine, Kentucky. William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky, has been entrusted with arrangements.
