BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Wendell Johnston, 79, of Beaver Dam, went to his heavenly home on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at Ohio County Healthcare. He was born Feb. 25, 1943, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Leslie and Anna Carmickle Johnston.
Wendell was a retired truck driver and member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church.
Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joann Filback Johnston; two sons, James Johnston and Ricky Filback; and brother, Willard Johnston.
Survivors include three brothers, Leroy Johnston, of Louisville, David Johnston, of Hartford, Kentucky; and Joe Johnston, of Horse Branch, Kentucky, and three grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, at Hartford Christian Church (122 Walnut Street, Hartford, KY 42347) with Rev. Charles Taylor officiating. Friends may visit with Wendell’s family from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
