Gov. Beshear orders flags to half-staff in remembrance of Highland Park victims

FRANKFORT, Ky. — In accordance with a proclamation from the White House, Gov. Andy Beshear has directed that flags at all state office buildings be lowered to half-staff until sunset on Saturday, July 9, 2022, in honor and remembrance of the victims of the acts of violence perpetrated on Independence Day, July 4, 2022, in Highland Park, Illinois.

Gov. Beshear encourages individuals, businesses and organizations throughout the commonwealth to join in this tribute. Flags statewide are already at half-staff Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in honor of the of the Floyd County peace officers who died in the line of duty last week.
