Thomas Edward (Tommy) Williams

BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Thomas Edward (Tommy) Williams, 71, of Beaver Dam, passed away at his home on June 29, 2022, surrounded by his family. Born on Sept. 23, 1950, he was the son of the late James Edward and Betty Sue Williams.

After graduating from Ohio County High School in 1969, Tommy enlisted in the United States Marine Corps serving during the Vietnam War was and was a proud Marine to the day of his death.

He was of the Baptist faith and his favorite hobby was fishing, which he couldn’t get enough of. Tommy worked in several fields, Peabody Coal Company, (his coworkers called him Hank), Green River Coal Company, and Walmart, along with others.

 

Besides his parents, preceding Tommy in his death was his son, Thomas E. Williams Jr.

Tommy is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sheila, of Beaver Dam; daughter, Michele Williams, of Beaver Dam; son, Brian (Mandi) Williams, of Jamestown, Pennsylvania; sister, Martha (Rex) Sanders, of Rogersville, Tennessee; brothers, Bobby (Chris) Williams, of O’Fallon, Illinois, Gordon (Susanne) Williams, of Hartford; and 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his Pug, Boots, who never left his side.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Ohio County for the love and care they gave Tommy during his illness.

Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam is in charge of caring for Tommy, and per his request, there will be no service.
